As a qualified teacher with 12 years experience teaching English at KS3,4 and 5 , as well as English as an additional language I am able to cater to individual needs, as well as any additional needs.

Together we will ensure that we address your problem areas in productive, dynamic and comfortable lessons.

  • I follow the specification dictated by the paper you wish to study, and we will practice a variety of the tested skills with a special focus on your areas of concern.

  • Coaching for Verbal and Non Verbal reasoning is a necessity for most to succeed at this very unique test! I am proud to say that my students have a 100 % success rate so far!

  • I am happy to schedule small group sessions of up to 3 students of similar levels if this is the preference of the client. This can either be a group of 3 friends, or by joining as part of an existing group.

  • Extremely! I have many years of experience working with students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASC, Tourettes and ADHD. Please get in touch if you have any concerns I can put to rest. My lessons are inclusive and accessible to all.

  • 1 - 1 = £40 Per hour

    Group lessons (maximum 4 students) are £20 per hour, per student.

  • My timetable is extremely flexible - I don't work Sundays (unless you have an exam on Monday, in which case I will!)

    I also appreciate that not everybody works to a fixed schedule, so I will always try to be accommodating to to accommodating schedules on a week by week basis.

  • As many as you like! There is no minimum or maximum as long as we can make the scheduling work .

  • As long as a lesson is cancelled with 24 hours notice, there is no charge.

    If a lesson is rescheduled for within the same week, no charges apply.

    If a lesson is cancelled at short notice (under 24 hours and not rescheduled within the same week), or the student does not arrive or contact me, the lesson will still be charged for. I do understand that things sometimes and am always happy to work together for a solution.

  • This will vary hugely between students!

    I love what I do, and I that tends to translate into the lesson - I like variety, I love when students achieve something they didn’t think they could do, and to see my students grow in confidence and ability. I frequently have to keep the sound of my own laughter to a minimum so as not to disturb my neighbours, because I like to keep lessons fun and upbeat, while also being extremely productive.

    I love my subject enough to compensate for however the student may feel about English! I believe this is one of my main strengths as a teacher , and makes me extremely good at crosswords .

  • Please enquire! It’s possible that the course/ exam you require is already under construction, and if not, I am able to be flexible in accommodating specific needs and combinations. For example, should you require 11+ prep, in addition to EAL , a course can be created for you individually.
